Blue Current – Terms and Conditions
By placing an order with Blue Current, the purchaser agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Sales Are Final

All sales are final.

Orders cannot be cancelled, refunded, returned, or exchanged once placed.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to review all items, quantities, and shipping details before completing checkout. Our live chat is available anytime. You may also text 587-984-6243 anytime 24/7. We are fast at responding, please do not call this number.
2. Shipping Areas

Blue Current currently ships within Canada only.

Orders are not shipped to the United States or to any international destinations.
3. Shipping Risk and Buyer Responsibility

All shipments are made entirely at the buyer’s risk and expense.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges shown at checkout and any additional carrier fees that may arise (for example, address correction or re-delivery fees).

Risk of loss, delay, damage, mishandling, temperature exposure, or delivery failure passes to the buyer once the package is handed over to the carrier.

Blue Current is not responsible for:

Carrier delays or missed delivery times
-
Weather events or service interruptions
-
Misrouted packages, delivery exceptions, or theft after delivery

Any claims related to carrier performance must be made by the buyer directly with the carrier where permitted.
4. Packaging, Oxygen, and Temperature Control

All livestock orders (fish and coral) are packed using pure oxygen to help keep specimens healthy during transit.

Heat or cold packs are used as needed based on forecast conditions and season.
-
Orders are shipped in heavy-duty insulated boxes to help protect livestock from handling and temperature swings during normal transit.

These measures reduce, but do not eliminate, the risks associated with shipping live animals. The buyer understands that some risk of stress or loss is always present. If any specimen is dead on arrival, it does not qualify for any refunds or credits.
5. Carrier and Service Level

FedEx is Blue Current’s preferred shipping carrier.

Blue Current may choose the specific FedEx service level, packaging configuration, and ship date it determines appropriate for the order.

Use of FedEx does not create any guarantee by Blue Current regarding delivery time or live arrival.
6. Live Animal and Perishable Product Notice

Saltwater fish, corals, and other livestock are live and perishable products that can be sensitive to handling, transit time, and water conditions.

The buyer is responsible for:

Monitoring tracking information
-
Being available to receive the shipment at the first delivery attempt
-
Promptly opening the shipment and acclimating livestock according to best practices
-

No refunds, credits, or replacements are provided for losses related to delays, improper acclimation, or conditions at the destination.
7. Delivery Information and Access

The buyer must provide a complete and accurate shipping address, contact information, and any relevant delivery details.

Blue Current is not responsible for issues arising from:

Incorrect or incomplete addresses
-
Inaccessible delivery locations
-
Unattended or refused deliveries
-

If a shipment is delayed, returned, refused, abandoned, or destroyed for reasons beyond Blue Current’s direct control, no refund or replacement will be issued.
8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blue Current’s responsibility ends when the shipment is transferred to the carrier.

Blue Current is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any order or shipment, including livestock stress or mortality.

In any case, Blue Current’s total liability, if found, is limited to the purchase price of the specific item(s) in dispute, excluding shipping and related charges.
9. Acceptance of Terms

By completing checkout, the buyer confirms that these Terms and Conditions were made available and are accepted as a condition of purchase.
